Here are this week’s results:

Pitcher CIA Result Comments
Jim Johnson Hold It was sketchy there for a while, but he has gotten back on track.
Andrew Bailey Hold He has continued to pitch like a superstar in the early going.
Addison Reed Auto Hold Had one horrific outing but it did not affect his outlook or his awesomeness.
Chris Perez Lose If I were him I would be smoking pot also.
Vinnie Pestano Lose The team is in freefall so opportunities have been scarce.
Joe Smith Hold Appears to be second in line but we will include him for one more week in an abundance of caution.
Jose Valverde Lose Just misses automatic hold status and is flirting with CIA minimum skills.
Jose Veras Auto Hold Has converted nine of his last 10 opportunities.
Greg Holland Auto Hold Has been on enough of a roll lately to regain automatic hold status.
Ernesto Frieri Auto Hold His BB rate is still over 6.00 but he has only blown one opportunity in 15 tries.
Glen Perkins Hold Still rock solid skills.
Mariano Rivera Auto Hold Has bumped his K rate up over 8.5
Grant Balfour Auto Hold Still perfect in SV/SVO and skills are on the upswing from early in the year.
Tom Wilhelmsen Lose Still in trouble and skills are still well below the minimums.
Fernando Rodney Lose Has converted 4 straight, but his record stinks and were it not for last year’s fluke he would already have lost the job.
Joe Nathan Auto Hold Nathan is as reliable as any closer, and is now 19/20 in SV/SVO
Casey Janssen Auto Hold He actually walked someone and cut his K/BB in half. It is still 9.50.
National League
Heath Bell Auto Hold Continues his stunning resurgence.
Craig Kimbrel Auto Hold Gets back to automatic hold status.
Kevin Gregg Auto Hold Still perfect.
Aroldis Chapman Hold He is only one save conversion away from “auto hold” status.
Rafael Betancourt Auto Hold Hits the DL
Rex Brothers Auto Lose Still only 2/3 in SV/SVO and skills are poor.
Brandon League Lose His K rate is still below 5.00 and the only thing saving him is the manager’s incompetence.
Mike Dunn Auto Lose This is a tough situation to read because the team gets so few wins. He is only 1/2 so he has a “lose” status. We will have more to examine next week, we hope.
Steve Cishek Auto Lose Cishek got a save, but it was in the 20 inning game so it cannot be said he has the job back. But he might, so we include him.
Jim Henderson Auto Hold He returned but did not yet get a SVO. Will give him one more week, and if he has none he will end up as CIA’s second “miss.”
Francisco Rodriguez Auto Hold Is 4/4 and allegedly will keep the job for the short term. My view is that it is a done deal and K-Rod is keeping the job for good. I hate Ron Roenicke.
Bobby Parnell Hold He converted seven in a row before a slip up on June 4.
Jonathan Papelbon Auto Hold He has continued to improve his skills from his early-season struggles, and is still perfect.
Jason Grilli Auto Hold Another week and he is still perfect and still the best closer in baseball.
Huston Street Auto Hold Wow, he is hurt.
Luke Gregerson Auto Lose Blew his last opportunity so he is below the 60% cutoff. He will have lots of short-term rope.
Sergio Romo Auto Hold His K/BB is up to 8.67. In a just world he would be a $100M pitcher.
Edward Mujica Auto Hold The Mujica K/BB Watch is now up to 25.0 (!).
Rafael Soriano Lose Soriano keeps his “lose” status for another week, but is getting close to “hold” status.
